The Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 tablet is the best Kindle out there. We are extremely impressed with all the advanced functions and features in this Fire. Despite its budget price, it comes with a huge variety of capabilities. You’ll enjoy a myriad of new features and a lengthier battery life on top of the ebook reader capabilities which you have come to love, like the possiblity to read magazines and comics in full color and with superb resolution.
The Kindle Fire HDX is a big step forward in comparison to previous models. With its new sleek redesign, smoking fast components, and a couple of new tricks. Most of all, though, it’s the finest tablet you can get.
The Amazon Kindle Fire interface has always featured a carousel on the home page. This is a cover-flow of books, apps, music, movies, or whatever else you’ve recently looked at or listened to. It still has the carousel, but now, with Fire UI 3. you can swipe up to get at a more standard looking grid app layout.
The Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has all the features you need in a tablet, and its 8.9-inch touchscreen cements its spot as the best Kindle.
The Kindle Fire HDX , later renamed to Fire HDX , is the third generation of Amazon ‘s Kindle Fire line of tablet computers . It was announced on September 25, 2013 and is available in two models, 7 inch and 8.9 inch. The 7 inch WiFi model was released on October 18, 2013 in the United States while the 8.9 inch WiFi model was released on November 7, 2013.
Hows does this compare to the HDX 7?
The Kindle Fire HDX 7’s crowning glory is undoubtedly its display, though. The 7-inch panel runs at a hefty 1920 x 1200 resolution – that’s higher than Full HD – for 323 ppi pixel density. If you couldn’t guess, that means incredibly smooth graphics, jag-free text, and the sort of crisp realism at the cutting edge of mobile gaming.
The Kindle Fire HDX 7 might not have the 8-megapixel rear camera of its 8.9-inch sibling, but it does get Amazon’s new camera app. That supports still or video photography – including the ability to snap a still while you’re recording footage – and has a new editor suite for tweaking and post-processing.
Sideloading on the HDX
Sideloading the HDX is exactly like sideloading any of the other Kindle Fire models.
From the Kindle Fire HDX main screen, pull down the notifications bar and tap on Settings > Applications then turn Apps from Unknown Sources to On. You can now sideload APK files onto your device.
You can download them to your desktop and copy them over or send them to yourself by email. You can also go directly to websites that feature lists of APK files especially for your Kindle Fire HDX. These are alternative app stores outside of the “authorized” Amazon app store. Be careful as these may or may not be stableand could cause you more problems then you might care for.
